Welcome to The Whole Self. I’m Kezia, and you can learn a bit more of my story on the “about me” page of my website. My goal in this post is to offer some basic orientation about the kinds of things you can expect to encounter on this blog and on my social media accounts (find me on Instagram and Facebook: @thewholeselfhealingpractice).
You’ll find:
pictures of things I find in nature, with perhaps a contemplative caption or brief thoughts. Spending time in nature is a spiritual, physical, and emotional healing practice for me, and I like to bring back some of that lovely energy to share with others.
links, shout-outs, and re-posts to other local holistics healers, artists, vendors, and therapists. I believe in the work that I do, but I believe that healing ourselves and our world requires a communal approach, and I’m big into networking with, referring to, and supporting other practitioners in the area. Together, we will mend stronger, journey farther, love deeper.
questions I’m asking or ideas I’m exploring. I don’t think that there are many ultimate “answers” in life (spoiler alert, if you haven’t discovered this already: there aren’t many “fixes” either), but I find tremendous value in asking questions and holding uncertainty with gentle curiosity.
quotes and excerpts from relevant books and articles that I’m reading. I like to hope that I’m an original thinker and a skillful writer in my own right, but honestly, there is so much beauty and truth and clarity and goodness gifted to us by wise, loving industry professionals, that part of my own learning and gratitude comes in the form of highlighting their works as further resources for your healing path.
practices. Sometimes, I'll share my rhythms and rituals with you or invite you to explore a spiritual, somatic, relational, emotional, or energetic exercise with me and to see if it serves you on your current path.
other things. I’ll post updates from The Whole Self: events and services being offered. My own musings and anecdotes. And definitely some poetry from time to time.
I hope you will enjoy and benefit from what you find on my site(s), but even more, I hope you will close your computer, put down your phone, feel the miracle of your lungs filling with air, speak a kind word to yourself, and soften just a little more into trusting yourself and wherever you find yourself on your journey. There’s goodness in the universe. And there’s goodness in the universe for you.
